Geology & lANDFORMS
There are many types of landforms in Grand Teton. Here are a few.
|
This park has an interesting geology. The Grand Teton Mountain Range formed when the sides of a huge lake crashed together and pushed upward. The land got its form when glaciers moved around and sculpted the land. The valleys were formed by enormous earthquakes; this caused the land to sink down. There are minerals also found in the park such as rhyolite and quartz.
